We are thrilled to have started the SPEED face-to-face sessions! The University of Derby was the first institution we visited. We started with a brief background on the project and carried on discussing the needs.
During the session, we brainstormed on things that could ruin an online course, advantages of forums, blogs and wikis, and learning outcomes. We also did several activities: Consider Your Course Features, Create Your Course Map, and Analyse Your Activity Profile.
Participants described the SPEED workshop at Derby as a time to reflect about their needs and wants in terms of e-learning design and delivery. They considered the session a thought-provoking, collaborative experience. We are pleased with these comments and looking forward to keep up to SPEED!
